Diet and exercise are critical components of a successful strategy to prevent or manage diabetes and control hypertension.  These habits help lower body weight, improve insulin sensitivity and blood lipid profiles to help lower high blood sugar levels and help to control high blood pressure.

Regular physical activity strengthens the heart, meaning your heart can do more work with less effort, therefore lowering blood pressure. For people with diabetes, regular exercise helps improve their insulin sensitivity and aids in managing blood sugar levels.

Moving your body also helps improve mental wellness, directly impacting our physical health and well-being. For example, movement and exercise help reduce anxiety, depression, and negative mood while also helping cognitive function. Endorphins that help us feel better also aid in memory and thinking skills.

Speak to your physician before beginning any exercise program to ensure you are healthy enough to start an exercise program.

Sorogi has partnered with fantastic trainers to offer a variety of fitness classes for all activity levels. Accessing these programs online means you don’t need additional gym memberships, expensive equipment, or expose yourself to health risks in crowded group fitness classes.

Having access to Sorogi’s quality trainers at home also allows you to positively influence the loved ones in your life.

Sorogi offers an online fitness class Tuesday evenings at 6pm via Zoom or you can try one of our conditioning exercise videos below led by Mosi and Stacey or Yoga led by DJI.
