DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM
About Diabetes Prevention
Individuals at high-risk for Type 2 diabetes can prevent or delay the disease by losing a moderate amount of weight through lifestyle changes (dietary changes and increased physical activity). This program is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).Taking prescribed medications, may also help prevent or delay the disease.
Diabetes Prevention Classes are led by Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists and Lifestyle coaches. Classes meet on Thursday evenings at 6pm EST. All classes are currently held virtually via Zoom.
